‘Obi’ is Japanese and refers to the long sash that ties around and holds together the Japanese kimono. Obi’s signature joint of die-cast aluminium is the pedestal’s distinguishing design feature. It is the element that unites the table’s pedestal and legs of different heights and sizes. The legs are of solid, chromiumplated aluminium. The tripod means that the table is always stable, even standing on uneven surfaces. A low, round coffee table with a glass top highlights the elegance of Obi’s signature joint.
