The Novecento sofa by designer Roberto Lazzeroni harmoniously combines classic elements from the Poltrona Frau archives with more contemporary features. The result is a collection of great formal elegance, rigorous and welcoming at the same time and perfect in both formal contexts and in more intimate and unstructured settings. The supporting structure of the Novecento sofa is made from solid poplar and seasoned beechwood. The seat spring system consists of hand-tied steel biconical springs placed on jute belts. The base is padded with rubberised horsehair and polyurethane foam while the backrest is padded with polyurethane foam and polyester wadding, with goose down cushions. The armrest padding is in moulded polyurethane foam. Feet in beech with dark walnut stain. The back feet always have chromium-plated brass caps. The front feet can be fitted with chromium-plated brass castors or have chromium-plated brass caps like the back feet. The Pelle Frau® leather upholstery is enriched on the backrest with a pair of rectangular leather-covered buttons.
