Inspired by the noble praying mantis, the signature stance and powerful limbs of this chair are a study in contrasts. Strong and elegant, sharp and curved, thick and thin—the Mantis is sturdy and solid yet visually light. A new alternative to the classic and indestructible courthouse chair, the roomy Mantis is carved entirely from solid wood, with an ergonomically shaped seat providing comfort without a cushion.
Each chair is unique, finishes never mask the natural beauty of the wood. The solid wood patinas beautifully with age and is designed to last generations—joints reinforced by steel pins ensure strength and durability.
Like the mantis, the chair is a master of camouflage—equally at home in both contemporary and traditional interiors, residential and contract applications.
Solid carved Ash, Walnut or Teak, oil finish. Made in the USA.
