Koshi, light of the East
Charades played with sober and elegant lines on unusual combinations of materials and processing.
The harmony of Koshi is the result of many contrasts of shapes, colors and materials. The opalescence of blown glass, the glittering reflections of metal, the strong nuances of wood give life to an intriguing play of shades, a sophisticated combination of materials and expert workmanship. The perfectly round shape of the lamp interfaces with the lamp shades in warm bamboo and with the coldness of chrome-plates metal.
The result is an alternation of full and empty places, of direct and indirect light, an organic set in which contrasts become complementary. A clear reference to the oriental philosophy of Yin and Yang in which opposing elements alternate, forming a whole and becoming indispensable to one another.
The eye is involved in this continuous play of light defining its outline according to the point of view.
The pulsing heart of Koshi is a luminous nucleus of white, satined blown glass, that radiates light through the close tangle of horizontal bars of bamboo with a wengé finish. The collection is available in hanging, table, floor, wall and ceiling versions in different sizes.
