The Klee belongs to the pictorial tree grid series by Antoni Roselló. These are items which subtly bring art to the city. It is a reproduction of a work of art by Klee on a metal sheet with spiral drawings reminiscent of prehistoric inscriptions. Through the series of pictorial tree grids, Antoni Roselló pays homage to contemporary world artists who have renewed how we see reality, spatially and graphically.

Born in Switzerland and trained in Germany, Paul Klee evokes the mystery and the beauty of nature in his works. In Munich, he became friends with Wassily Kandinsky and August Macke, who encouraged him to join Der Blaue Reiter, an expressionist group contributing to the development of abstract art. After the First World War he taught at the Bauhaus. Klee often used letters and numbers in his paintings as part of a complex language of symbols and signs springing from his unconscious. He used them to achieve a poetic amalgam of abstraction and reality. Klee wrote: "art does not reproduce what is visible, it makes it visible".

Antoni Roselló transferred a sketch inspired by the language of Paul Klee's symbols and signs to the non-specialist and living urban environment, where the public can enjoy art in surroundings which are totally different. The grating for a tree, for example, has turned our pavements into a space for artistic expression.

The materials chosen for the tree grid are of an extremely long-lasting nature and age well which highlights their expressiveness. The unit fulfills its function of protecting the public from the hollow made by the tree and protecting the tree from the city and the road while contributing added beauty.

The tree grid consists of two or four equal pieces of sandblasted cast iron without any later treatment. The tree grid measures 148 x 148 cm and 98 x 98 cm.It is delivered disassembled. Assembly instructions are included. Hot galvanised steel frame. No maintenance required.
