A state of zero that means complete disorder and potential infinitesimal possibilities of creation. Earth, an organic and shapeless element, is the main inspiration of the project, as it is part of the physical makeup of the tile itself, even prompting its surface decoration. In fact, the project exposes the molecular structure of the ceramic material, reinterpreting it in a three-dimensional effect in relief, which magnifies its composition. The resulting essence is then overlapped by the traces generated by the most sophisticated printing technology, which, create a layer that form various patterns and chromatic effects, according to selected images and which examine the material itself. This implementation process leads to a dynamic surface, varying depending on the point of view and on the surrounding environment, where the geometrical grid melts into nothingness creating a more natural, discontinuous effect. This is how Luca Nichetto expresses the worth of innovation, a transversal commitment for every single corporate strategy, and he enriches this concept with new meanings, pushing them towards an avant-garde solution for design and creative research: the most traditional and consolidated technologies integrate with recent digital printing, interfacing all the productive potential of Ceramiche Refin. With this as an objective, the designer imagined pronounced graphic patterns that do not imitate other materials but chose to exalt the value of porcelain stoneware, taking a step-by-step industrial approach to create the prototype that was presented at the Salone del Mobile last year. The Kaos ceramic tile collection, for floors and walls, is a broad and complete collection offering a wide range of available sizes, both square and rectangular, and four main colours: as well as black and white, two other shades are available, one, a cold hue (grey) and the other a warm hue (beige) that can then, if desired, be developed into four other different shades. A graphic is then added to these neutral tints, which varies depending on the chosen colour. The range comes complete with the decor set including chromatic decors (yellow, red, blue, black-white) and textures (wave).
