The RCR architectural practice, made up of Carme Pigem, Ramón Vilalta and Rafael Aranda, has emerged on the design scene of urban elements with this simple backless bench in an organic form.
Over the past few years, RCR Arquitectes has become one of Spain?s leading architectural practices. For the first time ever, they have dealt with the design of an urban element for its subsequent mass production: a bench made of artificial stone and coloured en masse, in white or black, similar to the aesthetic criteria that characterise their work.Simple, striking, versatile, ergonomic and, above all, capable of stirring up emotions in the urban environment.
Its organic simplicity allows for its integration in a number of settings, whether on surfaces, built-in to make steps or leaning against a small wall. Positioned in alignment, it becomes an axis or column that is able to articulate all of the elements in the space around it.
