Product description

In the late 1980's Lella and Massimo Vignelli were commissioned to design a television set for the broadcasting of the news. It would usher in a new approach to news broadcasting: rather than simply “talking heads”, people would now be shot full body. The “Intervista” armchair was designed to fit this purpose: an evolution of the bucket-style chair, carefully designed to ensure the maximum comfort of the user and a posture that does not affect their tone of voice. Intervista is an armchair with a supporting structure, for the shell and seat, in steel upholstered with moulded polyurethane. The seat spring system consists of elastic belts. The upholstery of the Intervista armchair is in Pelle Frau® leather.

Concept

Linear, elegant design. Comfortable and welcoming, Intervista provides a single element that ensures a good, well-supported posture. Intervista 360 completes the series of the eternal ‘small armchair for the television studio’, now becoming a swivel chair to meet the demands of a new way of experiencing the workplace and sharing meetings.

The steel frame is padded with moulded polyurethane foam. Seat suspension is provided by elastic strips. The 360 armchair is mounted onto a base with a sphere crown that allows for rotation. The twist version is fitted with one-way front wheels and swivel rear wheels to ease forward-backward movement. Pelle Frau® leather upholstery.
