In 1950's, designers took advantage of molded plywood technology in many of their works. Molded plywood is easy to process into uniform shapes. The technology is indispensable for mass production designs, where cost is animportant factor.

A different version of IL-08, with padding added on the seat and teak attached to the leg ends.
