Gro is a spectacular multicoloured striped curtain fabric made of fine silk, which offers a combination of fashionable and elegant colours. Extremely exclusive in look and feel, it fits into a wide variety of modern interiors, both public and private.

The design of Gro stands out as modern and subtly opulent. The pattern is comprised of five horizontal stripes. These are each 25.5cm high and go from selvage to selvage, ensuring that all the colours are visible when the curtain is draped. Gro is available in four colourways, of which two are composed of neutral, earthy shades, such as chocolate brown, elephant grey and cream. The other two colourways are made up of brighter, more vibrant tones, including ruby red, warm orange, aubergine, olive green and aqua.

The fabric is woven in an Indian weaving mill, where traditions of silk cultivation, dyeing yarn and weaving have been passed down from generation to generation.

Gro is woven with a satin binding, which gives it a brilliant lustre. The fabric shimmers and comes alive under light, projecting a feeling of sophistication and exotic quality into any indoor setting.

Like all FANNYARONSEN textiles, Gro combines innovation, subtle intuition and premium quality materials, while offering virtually infinite possibilities for mixing and matching with the rest of the collection. For instance, it shares colours with the silk cushion Alvis, and features the same brilliant lustre and crisp feel as the silk curtain Delling, combining with both to great effect.

Fanny Aronsen is renowned for her tactile, subtly opulent fabrics and intriguing, colourful designs. The juxtaposition of her Scandinavian heritage and international experience is a theme often reflected in her work. Clues to her Nordic history and cultural background can often be found in her designs but, ultimately, her work transcends all borders.

Now working from her studio in Stockholm, she has lived and worked in Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam for many years. She is a Professor in Textile Design at the University of Stockholm, where she lectures at the renowned Konstfack – University College of Arts, Crafts and Design.

Fanny Aronsen has received several awards for her designs, including the German Rote Punkt, the Swedish Utmärkt Svensk Form and the Dutch Mobila Innovative Prijs and Goed Industrieel Ontwerp.
