The iconic Gräshoppa task lamp, designed by Greta M. Grossman, was first produced in 1948. Greta M. Grossman (1906-1999) was a Swedish designer and architect. She immigrated to the US in the 1940’s where she played a significant role in defining the aesthetic of mid-century Californian modernism. Today, her designs are highly collectible and are sold at auctions all around the world. In Grossman’s products everything is unique in their lightness of form with elegant, asymmetric lines.
The shade of the task lamp is mounted onto a flexible arm, which means that the light can be directional, yet the glare is minimal.

The Gräshoppa Collection consists of a task lamp, pendant and a floor lamp version.

MATERIAL
Floor lamp: Elongated shade is made conical steel. Both stand and shade are powder coated.
Table lamp: The tubular brass stand is mounted on a brass base whilst the elongated conical steel shade is mounted with a moveable joint in solid brass. Shade is powder coated.
Pendant lamp: The elongated shade is fixed with a brass tube and brass fittings in the top. For mounting to the ceiling, the pendant is equipped with a steel bracket covered by a half round sphere canopy in brass and a brass tube. Shade is powder coated.
