Ginger curtain fabric by Kvadrat

Ginger is her third curtain design for Kvadrat; it is a simple, open piece, inspired by the irregular structure of flax. Ginger uses the same colour idiom as Flavour. This colour idiom is inspired by the colours of spices such as pale blue poppy seed, fresh garlic and ground root of coriander. The colours are created by experimenting with dried, fresh, ground and whole spices until the right shade is produced. Accordingly, this work formed the basis of the final colourway and a colour palate of 22 colours ranging from fresh citronella to black peppercorn. By exclusively using seasonings, Anne Fabricius Møller has created a uniform, very well blended colour palette with a high degree of harmony in the individual shades. Five of the colourways are self-coloured; the remainder have one colour in the warp and another in the weft. Ginger and Flavour complement not only each other’s colour idiom but also the style of the fabric.
