Gefjon Curtain fabric by FANNY ARONSEN

Three delicate, modern silk curtains have been added to the FANNYARONSEN textile collection. As with the other products in the FANNYARONSEN collection, sophisticated opulence is the primary source of inspiration, a concept embodying a contemporary and exclusive Bohemian style mixed with a warm and homey touch.

Fanny Aronsen went to India and visited various spinning and weaving mills to study the production and weaving of silk. The outcome is a set of three shiny silk curtains in colours and patterns that match and supplement the existing collection. The natural shine of the silk yarn produces countless subtle and elegant nuances of colour, and the silk specially chosen for these curtains is of the finest quality.

All curtains are satin woven and the dominating weft threads on the front separate the curtains from most other silk curtains on the market. This produces a softer and shinier surface than the traditional warp satin.

Gefjon’s large squares allow the warm colours of the curtain to interplay and make it possible to mix a multiplicity of hues in a single curtain. The squares give the textile a harmonic rhythm that combines classical elegance with an innovative colour play.
