“What I had in mind at the beginning of the project was an elegant sofa, a piece of furniture that would have a nice aspect from all angles. The sofa should be delicate and lightweight and very comfortable at the same time. The first image was that of a seating object composed of low, loosely joined cushions. As the project progressed, that set of cushions turned into the basis of the modular construction of the Folia series. The smallest possible unit is an armchair consisting of two cushions emerged. This unit forms the basis of a two-seater or three-seater sofa. The seating elements of the sofa are enclosed by two slightly angled cushions serving as armrests.” Johannes Fuchs
