Filippa Bio curtain fabric by Kvadrat

Felicia and Fillippa are designed by Mathilde Aggebo and Julie Henriksen, the duo behind the company Aggebo & Henriksen. The two designers have worked together since meeting at their alma mater, the Danish School of Art and Design. They created the stage curtain for the extension to the Danish Royal Library, the Diamond, and the interior decoration of the student hall Tietgenkollegiet in Copenhagen. Aggebo & Henriksen have been part of Kvadrat’s design team since 2001, designing both curtains and upholstery. The designers’ interplay with tissue paper and watercolours form the basis of Felicia; a woven, striped curtain in eight colours.

Fillippa Bio is a solid-coloured curtain woven according to the same principle. Colours are fresh and pure. Fillippa Bio consists of 100% Trevira CS and has special bioactive properties. The textile consists of a minimum of 50% bioactive yarns with silver nano- particles integrated into their fibres. The silver ions break down cell membranes and prevent bacteria from forming. The effect is permanent because the silver ions are integrated into the fibre, preventing them from being washed or worn out. The curtain observes the special hygiene requirements set for textiles in the health sector, and the dirt repellent surface makes it allergy-friendly and easy to maintain.
