Felt wall covering

from FELT Studio, Designed by Kathryn Walter

Product description

Concept

Designed and made by Kathryn Walter
Commissioned by and for Charles Street Video
Toronto, 2004

This post-production house required a sound absorbent material to cover the wall of this editing suite. Walter responded with a felt treatment that mimicked the repeated cone-shape of conventional acoustic material by layering squares of felt to create this pyramid tile. The result is a sound absorbent, optically unique wall.
