Designed in 1994, the Hermann Czech chair represents the turning point of modern furniture towards intimism and the cult of reminiscence: a design that is contemporary yet evocative of times gone by.
An ideal way of maintaining continuity with the style created by Thonet at the end of the 19th Century.
The “Czech” chair adapts the harmony of steam bent wood to its pure and abstract lines, which have been further enhanced in the new version in blanched or white varnished beech, with leg bottoms left natural.
The seat frame, bent form a single piece of wood, is supported by a structure of arches, providing extra solidity and strength as well additional symmetry to the entire style.
Available varnished red, yellow, white (with the bottom part of legs in natural beech) and black.
But also anthracite, wengé wood, dark and light cherry wood, dark and light walnut, natural and blanched beech; with or without arm rests.
Various seat finishes (leather, plain colour fabric and Gebrüder Thonet Vienna geometric pattern fabric, straw weave or beech plywood).
