Cushion collection by FANNY ARONSEN
The new cushion collection features six luxurious and sophisticated new cushions, designed by Fanny Aronsen. Three are constructed from some of the latest woollen fabrics in the FANNYARONSEN upholstery collection, whilst the others are made from sumptuously fine silk.
The cushions come in a wide variety of styles, sizes and rich colours. They offer countless possibilities for mixing and matching, not only with each other, but also with the rest of the products in the FANNYARONSEN collection.
Fanny Aronsen has drawn inspiration for this new collection from a number of diverse sources. These include the villages and colours of Northern India, Nordic mythology and combinations of her most recent upholstery fabrics.
Fanny Aronsen spends time in Northern India visiting and working in villages with traditions, such as weaving, embroidery and dying that have been passed down from generation to generation. In these villages, the silk yarns are spun and then dyed with rich tones that are inspired by the local environment, such as saffron, mango, mahogany brown and burnt curry.
During these visits, Fanny Aronsen works closely with the artisans who weave, dye and embroider the beautifully fine silk. This has led to the development of three new cushions called Saga, Sejd and Alvis, which reconcile contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship. The cushions are hand-made, so each one looks unique.
Three of the new cushions in the collection feature woollen upholstery fabrics from the
FANNYARONSEN collection. Whilst they share a sense of refinement and an exclusive look that is enhanced by thin stitching around the cushion, they have very different characters. As such, they fit diverse tastes and meet the current wide range of approaches to contemporary interior design: one glitters, one is tweedy and one epitomises tactile sophistication. Ultimately, they allow you to create your own individual style and look and feel for your home.
