Claritas is the first lamp designed by Vico Magistretti, produced with Mario Tedeschi in 1946. In the following year was presented at the VIII Triennale of Milan in section "Fede Cheti" as a response to the contest to develop a new concept of "Domestic Living" after the bombings over Italy during the II World War. The lamp is made of metal tubes and sheets bent and welded in the simplest way possible, as Claritas was originally conceived to be produced in the Milan freed from Nazi-Fascist occupation, using the weapons industry in reconversion. Today the structure recalls the original project with par ts in chromed or painted brass, and painted aluminium diffuser.
