The natural finish of the ash wood creates a warm atmosphere around the polished metal. This emphasizes the particular luster of the material, which can be manufactured in copper, brass, or chrome, creating shadowy abstractions of the light and its silhouettes in a room.
Charles functions as an accent without dominating the space.
Not only the aesthetic qualities of Charles are an enhancement, but, like the marble iteration of this design, the generous rounding of its hook allows clothing to hang without wrinkling. The backside tapers towards the front, creating additional space for clothes hangers.
