Product description

Caper side chair, stackable

Concept

Looking for a frisky high-performance, low-priced chair line that addresses needs within multifunctional work environments? Your search is over!
Lightweight, compact, mobile, Caper chairs are just the ticket for conference rooms, team environments, lunch and break areas. The chair's distinctive yet clean, simple look adds to its universality, making it a truly global seating solution.

Features and benefits
Easy-to-move, lightweight (the basic chair weighs less than 4kg, about half the weight of comparable chairs). Molded polypropylene seat and back are contoured to evenly distribute the sitter's weight and minimise pressure points. Seat and back are perforated with holes that let air pass through, helping the sitter maintain a constant skin temperature. Advanced seat option employs a strong, mesh-like material called FLEXNET.
Waterfall seat edge helps maintain proper leg circulation. Available in many colours, each creating a different personality from high-tech to classic to retro. Uses limited floor space due to compact design. Four-legged stackable chairs stack six on the floor and 15 on a cart - with or without arms, and with or without casters. With casters, a stack of up to six chairs can be transported without a cart.

Design story
Caper chairs support short-term sitting in multifunctional areas and informal meeting places, as well as longer stints in training rooms, project rooms, and workstations. They deliver ergonomic comfort for people of diverse sizes and shapes. Caper is designed to be agile. Lightweight, compact, and mobile, it is about half the weight of comparable chairs. Caper seating can be easily moved, reconfigured, stacked, and stored to support changing user and space requirements. Weber says the chair achieves its high level of performance and comfort by 'using standard materials in novel ways.' The molded polypropylene seat and back are contoured to evenly distribute the sitter's weight and minimise pressure points. The flexible back construction lends a high level of comfort for the upper and lower back. The waterfall seat edge helps maintain proper leg circulation.
Like Herman Miller's Aeron chair - co-designed by Bill Stumpf - the Caper chair also provides aeration. Its seat and back are perforated with holes that let air pass through, helping the sitter maintain a constant skin temperature. An advanced seat option employs a strong, mesh-like material called FLEXNET, developed for the Caper chair by Milliken & Company. Similar to the Aeron chair's Pellicle suspension, the FLEXNET material also provides aeration as well as added comfort and weight distribution for longer-term sitting.

The Caper family delivers this high level of performance at an affordable price. 'Too much good design seems expensive,' Weber says. 'I wanted to break that cliché.'
