Canvaro desking programme: The ergonomic concept

Achieving visual appeal when incorporating ergonomic sit/stand workstations in an office setting is a serious challenge for many of the systems that are currently available in the market. Assmann is presenting Canvaro at this year's Orgatec: a premium quality desking programme with standard and sit/stand desks of equal appeal.

The slender C-leg programme includes both standard workstation solutions with manual adjustment from 620 to 850 mm, and sit/stand desks with adjustment of the working height from 650 to 1250 mm by electric motor. "This means we meet the requirements of the new draft EU standard DIN EN 527/1, so we are able to give our customers the assurance of knowing that Canvaro desks already comply with legislative requirements - which will help them with their decision-making process," explains Gerd Lauszus, director of Assmann's product management. Another advantage of this programme is the ability to place a mobile pedestal under the sit/stand desk despite the low height of 650 mm. "The use of a double telescopic guide eliminates the need for an additional cross-bar on the frame," Mr. Lauszus adds. The electric motors can also be fitted with an anti-collision device to eliminate the risk of crushing or collision with items under the desk.

Similar in appearance to the manufacturer's successful CanvASS PRO programme, Canvaro offers further material variants in addition to the functional improvements. For instance, runners in polished aluminium enhance the appearance of the desk, so that the change-over from a seated to a standing activity can also be visually appealing even in a sophisticated office setting. Both standard workstations and sit/stand desks can be further enhanced with any of the numerous adaptations. As is usual with Assmann, the new programme is also available in all the usual desktop shapes and colour variants.
