Björg Upholstery fabric by FANNY ARONSEN
This is Björg – multicoloured Block Stripe
In a market where there are a lot of different stripes it is always a challenge to create a new one. Sketching by painting and making windings in yarn to find the right rhythm. Important is that an irregular stripe finds the balance so it doesn’t “fall over”. For Björg the result is a multicoloured stripe using five different tints with a repeat of 28 cm in the weft. The different stripes are of varying width, where the irregularity makes the fabric more interesting and gives it a more personal and individual touch.
Björg is woven with a satin binding on a cotton warp to make it smooth and easy to upholster and the weft is a yarn with a blend of 92% wool and 8% polyamide. Björg has 8 different colourways where each has a surprising and exciting combination of shades. All different coloured stripes always find a match in the coordinating Balder and the two coloured block stripe Brage is also an interesting combination. Dare to make new exciting combinations – what a thrill to combine the purple coloured Björg not only with the plain purple Balder but also the green, midnight blue or ocker coloured versions.
Composition 68% wool, 6% polyamid, 26% cotton
