Initially, Arne Jacobsen designed the Ant™ for the canteen at Novo Nordisk, an international Danish healthcare company. Today, the Ant is one of the most prominent icons in the collection. Despite its minimalist form and svelte shape, the Ant is an extremely comfortable chair.

The shell is in pressure molded veneer. The inner veneer is always beech and the outer veneer is available in 9 different veneers: maple, Beech, Ash, Elm, oak, oregon pine, cherry, Walnut or Dark-stained oak.
It is also available in 2 finishes; coloured ash (lazur) or lacquered in 9 different colours: White, light Grey, Dark Grey, Black, Yellow, orange, red, petrol Blue or sage Green. The base is 14 mm chromed steel tubes with 3 or 4 legs and leg ferrules of black synthetic material.
The range of accessories includes linking device, transport dolly, seat and row numbers.
