The vases, which resemble over-dimensional chess figures, are produced by the traditional process of metal spinning. Inspired by the 100-year-old collection of negatives, found in the shelves of the Bräuer metal spinning company, Assah, Mata and Fide developed.
When using several existing forms in new combinations, the excentric shapes emerged, offering hardly any clue of their former uses. The effect is a technical look in warm tones, incorporating an air of industrial history.
