Product description
This back painted, low iron product with minimal colour tint has some unique performance features.
A foil backing allows annealed glass panels to be employed where toughened glass products would ordinarily be used. This avoids the distortion issues common with toughened glass, resulting in extreme flatness for a non-laminated safety glass product, though it does come at an increased cost.
Due to the safety performance of this foil layer, thinner and therefore lighter panels can be used in place of the heavier PVB interlayered products of comparable performance as the product maintains it’s integrity when broken.
The foil backing also creates a completely opaque product with no light transmission and its leather grain texture prevents thermal stress fractures.
The colour layer can be applied through a UV stable digital printing technique, allowing complex imagery and control over applied areas.
