A chair for use in theatres and auditoriums.
The design and the materials employed have been chosen to ensure that the seat is easily able to satisfy the acoustic requirements of such facilities. The backrest is made of plywood with a 13 mm-thick select wood veneer. It is curved to provide support to the lumbar region and ends in a row of seven circular holes at the top. The seat has the same characteristics except that it is completely plain. The cushion is made of open-cell polyurethane mounted on a wooden backing that is attached to the backrest, making it easy to remove and replace. The upholstery also has special acoustic properties. The seat has the same characteristics. Between the upholstery and the foam of both the seat and the back, there is a 5-mm thick TS System fire curtain that keeps fire from reaching the foam, thus preventing the emission of toxic gases and flames. The seat tips up automatically thanks to an extremely quiet central spring mechanism that requires no lubrication. The chair is mounted on a single, central, robust aluminium structure to which the backrest is attached. This support also articulates the seat and serves to secure the chair to the floor by means of four anchor points. The seat is installed individually, making it easily adaptable to all kinds of layouts and seating configurations. Optionally, the seat can be equipped with aluminium armrests finished with an upholstered top or a wooden top on the upper part of the armrest. Armrests are fixed to the backrest of the seat. The standard version of the product includes no armrests.
