Modular conference table elements
Modular conference table elements are specialist furniture systems that are suited to fitting out conference and meeting spaces. As such, a collection of modular conference table elements is supremely practical and can be adapted to a myriad of room layouts.
In some cases, such as Piergiorgio Cazzaniga ‘Reverse conference’, the modular conference table element is a circular top with a single, conical foot, and the larger modules are simply oval tables with a corresponding row of bases. ‘Nexx’ range of modular conference table elements, conceived by Beck Architektur & Design for Casala, comprises a range of modules with laminate tops and tubular steel bases, from square and rectangular, to semi-circular and and diagonal segments, all with an optional modesty panel and power management systems.
Rud Thygesen’s and Johny Sørensen’s ‘2000-Serie’ for Magnus Olesen is similar, but the modular conference table elements are made of wood, and the desktops are covered with linoleum for added durability. Dustin A. Tusnovics’s ‘client’ modular system for ‘Wiesner-Hager’ consists only of square and rectangular elements with prismatic, polished steel legs and wooden tabletops, although the height of the base can be varied. Also by Wiesner-Hager, Martin Ballendat’s ‘flex table’ includes castor-mounted, nesting modular conference table elements which facilitate mobility and easy storage.
Okamura’s ‘Folding Table NT’ has the same features, but offers an additional modesty panel. So does Ini Archiborg’s, John Philips’s and Stephanie Stalker’s ‘serif’ modular conference table element for Bernhardt Design, which also features an elegant chromed steel base and a wood veneer table top; as does Åke Axelsson’s ‘Rotor’ for Gärnsäs. Komplot Design’s ‘Clip Table System’ for Fora Form is a straightforward laminate modular conference table element with bent tubular steel legs, while Pedro Feduchi’s ‘Tray’ for Imasoto is a range of modular conference table elements made out of wood which can be further specified with privacy screens and shelves.
