Elderly care stools
Though the elderly care stools product group is modest in size, it offers a wide choice of high-quality designs. Though some elderly care stools might follow more familiar forms, others are more contemporary, but none would not look out of place in a high-end office or a luxury home.
Consider Gerhard Braun ‘S13 Stool’, manufactured by Wiesner-Hager, a rectangular design with a slender, upholstered seat and an understated wooden base. Thomas Albrecht’s ‘Kiva stool’ for Dietiker is a similar design, though its legs slant ever so slightly. Thore Lassen’s ‘Pure stool’ by Randers+Radius features four stainless steel legs and a silk mat surface seat, creating a durable, cleaning-friendly stool. Derek Hodgson’s ‘Pagod’ elderly care stool by Kinnarps has a colourful plastic seat with gaps that allow stacking and tapering, chromed steel legs.
Designed by Helge Taraldsen for Helland, ‘Roll poufs | ottomans’ is a range of elderly care stools which consist of a robust disc upholstered in colourful fabric, supported by steel rod feet, available in three different sizes. Kai Stania’s ‘grace Polsterhocker’ elderly care stool for Wiesner-Hager combines slanted wooden legs with an upholstered rectangular seat and belongs to a more comprehensive range which includes a matching armchair, wingchair, coffee table, sofa and more.
Finally, Alp Nuhoğlu ‘Pi’ elderly care stool, produced by B&T Design, is a more sculptural object, composed of a simple, triangular portal with a seat balancing on top. This design is padded with injected polyurethane foam and upholstered with a wide choice of high-quality fabrics or artificial leather.
