Artificial plants

Although live plants do have advantages beyond pure aesthetics, artificial plants can be used to decorate homes and offices too. Indeed, Wandschappen have joined forces with manufacturer JAN WILLEM de LAIVE and introduced ‘Feltplants’ in 2009, a range of monochrome, felt sculptures whose form accurately mimics popular house plants.

These artificial plants, such as ‘Cotton Black/White’, ‘Tulip’, ‘Strelitzia Black/White’ and ‘Alocasia Black/White’, are therefore not mere imitations of nature, but rather whimsical, formal statements, which revel in their artificiality and create an artistic contrast with live plants that can stand by their side.
