ISH 2013: innovations for future-oriented buildings

The next ISH - The World’s Leading Trade Fair for The Bathroom Experience, Building Services, Energy, Air Conditioning Technology and Renewable Energies - will be distinguished by a host of new themes when it opens its doors in Frankfurt am Main from 12 to 16 March 2013. All market and technology leaders from home and abroad will be among the over 2,300 exhibitors who will use the fair to launch their innovations for future-oriented buildings onto the world market.

The focus of all product segments is on resource conservation. Thus, the ISH Water section is devoted to using this natural resource and setting accents with regard to drinking-water purification and sustainability. This focus will be supplemented by the subjects of the cross-generation bathroom and the complete bathroom, as well as the associated trend towards holistic room concepts. The ISH Energy section spotlights the subjects of ‘Efficient heating systems and renewable energies’ and ‘Energy efficiency and comfort with ventilation and air-conditioning technology’.

Complementary programme with new highlights

An in-depth look at many of the subjects covered by the various product segments will be taken by the complementary programme of the ISH Water sector, e.g., with the first ‘wall+floor’ special show, the ‘Pop up my Bathroom Atelier’, the ‘Pop up my Bathroom Trend Forum’, the ‘Blue Responsibility’ sustainability campaign and the ‘Bathroom comfort for generations’ and ‘Valuable Water’ special exhibitions.

New in the complementary programme of the coming ISH Energy section is an information and communication platform entitled ‘FIT - Forum for Real Estate, Energy and Technology’. Visitors can also look forward to a variety of other events including the ISH Technology and Energy Forum, the Stove forum, a lecture and discussion form on efficient and intelligent buildings, the ‘Water, Heat, Air’ special show, the Air Conditioning Forum and the IKK Building Forum.

Additionally, there will once again be free themed tours for architects, designers, planners and engineers from home at abroad at ISH 2013. The start and finish of these guided tours is the Outlook Lounge in Hall 4.2. Dates, times, registration details and further information about the tours can be found in the Event section of the ISH website at or at
