The GROHE Group is part of the LIXIL Group based in Tokyo and is among the world's largest providers of branded sanitary fittings. Our portfolio comprises the GROHE brand, the largest single brand in the global market for sanitary fittings, and the JOYOU brand holding a market-leading position for sanitary fittings in China. We employ more than 9000 employees and achieved about 1.45 bn revenue in 2013. With our two brands we are present in more than 130 countries and generated approximately 50% of our sales in emerging markets.
We offer a broad range of water technology products for bathrooms and kitchens, including faucets as well as shower heads and shower systems and flushing and installation systems. We are continuously investing into our product portfolio to offer our customers an attractive combination of technology, design and quality. Our GROHE brand is focused on the upscale mass-market and high-end segments in mature markets as well as the high-end market segments in emerging markets. JOYOU is our brand for the domestic mass-market in China, as well as for the value segments and channels of mass-markets outside China.
Our global production network consists of eight production plants. The GROHE group has three production plants in Germany as well as several plants in other markets. GROHE’s zeitgeist design team above, led by Paul Flowers, has in recent years been awarded an impressive number of international best-of-the-best design awards. Expert juries agree with consumers time and time again – GROHE design offers an excellent balance of innovation, functionality, quality and aesthetics.
We are incredibly proud to have been awarded the world’s most prestigious design accolade, the Red Dot Design Team of the year 2011/12, in a first for the sanitary sector. Previous winners include inspiring brands - from Apple, Audi and Bose - to the most recent recipient, Porsche.
