Sune Jehrbo has worked on everything from the interiors of a chain of European fashionable coffee shops, Logo and concept for fashionable clothing companies, to letterheads for the Danish Royal family and TV ads. Self-taught, his talents as a graphic artist and his untiring curiosity about materials, forms, and structures, have given him a different approach to design, from the one he might have gained at one of Denmark‘s world famous design colleges. But having worked as a freelancer for decade and the experience he has gain, he decided to breathe new life into classic home furnishings and in 2007 he start up Eleanor Home, with two other partner, his sister and brother in law.
They stared out making a lamp (the Pandulera Lamp) as a test, to see how the marked would react. Now, 6 years after his ideas has grown into a collection that mixes industrial and traditional design. What is important is not the era - whether it be North American inspired or typical Danish classic - but that the designs have stood the test of time, because of their proven functionality.
Eleanor Home is a very personal and creative company – embodying Sune’s own distinct style. The goal with Eleanor Home is to design well-crafted, genuinely durable and high quality products, for everyday use.
