Dune was launched in 1998 as a five-person company with the intention to design and fabricate small production runs of contemporary furniture. A decade later, with close to 100 employees, Dune has risen to become one of the most influential contemporary design studios and manufacturers in the world.

Dune has collaborated with some of the most influential companies and emerging designers and architects to produce the most innovative, progressive furniture available today. Their clients include many fortune 500 companies such as Google, Microsoft, Nike, Disney and IAC/InterActive.

Previous collections that have garnered awards including the ICFF Editor’s Design Award for Best New Designer and Best Textile, as well as a nomination for the Cooper Hewitt National Design Award. Previous exhibits have included the Luna Project, Wonder Women, Urburbia and Freestyle.

new Soho showroom
Dune has just opened their new Soho showroom at 156 Wooster Street.The space is located in an historic building and features over 3,500 square feet. It has undergone extensive renovations under the auspices of award-winning architect James Slade, of Slade Architecture in collaboration with Dune’s founder and president Richard Shemtov.

Located between Houston and Prince Streets, Dune will be moving right into the central hub of important design shops in Soho. It is an ideal site to showcase their cutting edge designs by world renowned designers and architects. These award winning collections have established Dune as a premier source of contemporary furniture for over ten years.

The showroom will feature an exciting range of Dune’s most recent and successful products by the likes of Tom Dixon, Nick Dine, Fabien Baron, Jeffrey Bernett, Harry Allen, Victoria Meyers, and Richard Shemtov.
