True quality stands the test of time.

Our modern classics are collector’s items − not only the masterpieces of yesterday, but of tomorrow as well. We aim above all to produce individual pieces of great originality and formal perfection – pieces with the potential to become classics in their own right one day. Displaying the kind of value that lasts, these pieces are destined to become coveted investments for future generations.

ClassiCon has from its inception aspired not only to offer pieces by established figures such as Eileen Gray and Eckart Muthesius, but also to foster contemporary design and to present selected examples in its program. Naturally, the models chosen must display the kind of quality and advanced form that earns them the designation “classic”. That’s why ClassiCon is always open to new design ideas.

The ClassiCon brand stands for quality, individuality and a timeless aesthetic – regardless of passing fashions. More important than the degree of fame achieved by the designer is a demonstrated fascination with new formal concepts. This focus helps ClassiCon to continually discover exciting young designers.
In the case of Konstantin Grcic, this has resulted in a longstanding collaboration, which the Munich designer took advantage of right from the start by including references to the iconic Eileen Gray in his Orcus secretary.

ClassiCon produces and sells the Eileen Gray Collection as worldwide licensee of Aram Designs Ltd, London. In the early 1970s, Eileen Gray began to collaborate with Zeev Aram to develop her furniture and lamps for series production. Eileen Gray transferred marketing rights for her designs to Aram in 1973.

In producing our design classics, the accent is on quality. High quality means in concrete terms that pieces in the Classic Collection of furniture are indelibly marked and numbered consecutively. The ClassiCon signature provides a guarantee that only high-grade materials and methods are used in production – meeting all ecological requirements – and that every piece of furniture has passed strict quality control. Our logo offers the assurance that each limited edition is an authentic replica of the original, made with the consent of the rights holders.
