German Design Award 2016 for LUCTRA®

The German Design Council has awarded LUCTRA® for it’s outstanding design quality and implementation of unique design trends. LUCTRA has won this prestigious award in the category of “lighting”. After the Interior Innovation Award and the Red Dot Award, this is the third major prize going to the lamps “made in Germany” in the year of their market launch.
Since 2012 a jury of experts awards the prize to products which stand out by their premium quality and perfect design, and which are special trend-setters in the international design landscape. The presentation ceremony will be held on 12 February 2016 in Frankfurt/Main.
Form follows function
Today, there must be more to design than just an ‘attractive look’. A good design must go deeper, right to the core of the material, from where it then creates both form and function”, explains German Design Award jury member Kathryn O’Brien. In LUCTRA®, design and function are in perfect harmony. So the open cooling fins on the lamp heads are more than just design elements, their purpose is effective heat dissipation from the LED luminaries. In this way, the temperature of the LEDs never rises above 400C, and they give light for up to 50,000 hours with simultaneous low energy consumption. Self-locking joints specially developed for LUCTRA® have dispensed with the locking screws or complicated mechanisms found elsewhere and give the lamps an elegant, purist look.

×The programming facilities of the table and floor lamps can be operated via a modern interface design. Users are able to program the light intensity and –colour individually according to their own daily rhythm, either via the touch panel directly integrated in the design of the lamp or via an app with a Smartphone or tablet. Since LUCTRA® not only offers award-winning design, but also a positive effect on the wellbeing of its users.

Peoples own daily routines, their personal times of being awake, working and resting are individual traits. They are deep inside us firmly rooted in our inner clock. And in the scientific world it is generally agreed that such an inner clock is ticking in every person.

LUCTRA® - Advanced LED technology in the workplace
The LUCTRA® LED lamp brings the latest technology almost daylight quality to the workplace. LUCTRA® design lamps meet all the demands placed on modern LED lighting: Innovative technology meets sophisticated design and allows it to adapt to individual needs. Four high-power LED convince with an illuminance of up to 1,000 lux, a uniform light distribution and an adjustable color spectrum between 2700-6500 Kelvin. With a service life of about 50,000 hours all LUCTRA® models are characterized by their efficiency: In addition to the low power consumption ensure open cooling fins of lighting heads for a maximum operating temperature of 40 ° C. The user interface of the intelligent VITACORE® Electronic is visible when touched and allows for individual adjustment of light intensity and light color.

High-quality design table lamps
The LUCTRA® table lamps are consistently designed to meet human needs at the office workplace. The self-locking joints will bring its light into any desired position without jerks while standing firm, and withstand up to 50,000 hinge movements without readjustment. Various fastening options guarantee a firm stand and reduce space requirements on the desktop.
LUCTRA® adapts to almost every office furnishing styles. The models are available in various designs: with progressive geometric (linear ) or harmonic-round ( radial) lamp head and in the body colors Aluminium, Black, White .
High-quality design floor lamps
Whoever prefers a clean desk need not go without the benefits of LUCTRA®. The floor lamp LUCTRA® FLOOR is available either with a single lamp head or as a twin model, FLOOR TWIN with two lamp heads. Both variants come in two modern designs: with progressive-geometrical (LINEAR) or harmoniously round (RADIAL) lamp heads. The body is available in the colours aluminium, black or white, according to customers’ choice. The LUCTRA® floor lamps provide exactly the right light: a light virtually as bright as daylight, with colour which changes in a similar way to sunlight, from cold white with a high proportion of blue (morning light) to warm white with a high proportion of red (evening light), and the sequence is individually adjustable. This also applies to the FLOOR TWIN double lamp, whose two lamp heads can be adjusted and programmed separately. In this way every person gets exactly the lighting they need in their workplace for concentrated, relaxed work.
