Actually, we never wanted to include a chair in the AUERBERG collection. The residential object chair seemed to us like no other to be too biased by many misguided design developments. Until Fritz Frenkler came along with his tavern chair, designed and made exclusively according to functional criteria and continuously optimised over hundreds of years of pub culture: and thus extremely solid. Optionally available in beech, oak or ashwood, known as »the Bavarian oak«.
