This is an elegant street lamp with a modern design and calm presence. It is especially designed to withstand impact.

From the very beginning the night in the city needed to be lit up. "How could one go for a walk in the Rambla, wondered Luis Almerich in 1945 (1), if there were not any lights of any kind and lanterns were needed so as not to stumble on the holes in the road as the street did not have paving of any kind"?. Or, as George Borrow wrote more categorically in the account of his journey through Spain in 1836 entitled The Bible in Spain: "One of the ruffians known as Manolos came to me while I was spending the night in a dark street and he told me that if I continued to sell my Jewish books, I would find myself with a knife stuck into my heart".

The Universal street lamp is ideal for all seasons and places. Its serene presence makes it an option for all places and projects, ranging from the historic old areas of a town to the more modern urban estates, establishing a subtle dialogue with its surroundings.

This street lamp is manufactured in translucent polyethylene and made of a series of rings which produce its characteristic ribbed shape. It is therefore a street lamp with a high resistance to shock. The clearly contemporary, reserved and subtle design of the lamp make it a pleasure to see and to use.

Trained in architecture, Jorge Pensi is noteworthy for creating products with formal or functional technological innovation, wrapped in a sensual and evocative draping.

Its enhanced mechanical performance is provided by a ribbed, translucent polyethylene and natural-coloured, made by rotation moulding. The top cover has a opaque-coloured polyethylene body and accommodates an inner metal reflector. In both pieces, the polyethylene is UV light-treated.The lower neck is in cast aluminium which is normally painted in the same colour as the top cover. The unit's fastening screws are in stainless steel. It is supplied without lighting equipment, prepared for different lamps, with bulb holder E27 or E40 (MV of 125, 150 or 250 W, HPSV of 70, 100, 150 or 250 W and MVH of 100, 150 or 250 W). The unit is delivered assembled. Assembly instructions come with the street lamp. It may be installed both onto the Universal or Nikolson columns or fitted onto a specially-designed Universal wall. The Universal and Nikolson columns come in three different heights: 2,60m, 3,20m and 380mm. The columns are fixed using a reinforced concrete cube, made on site, and anchorage bolts, 20cm below ground level. The foundations should provide a slot for the electrical connection. Anchorage bolts and pattern come with the column. Normal part replacement and maintenance.
