“il posto XL” was created in response to demand for seating solutions such as “il posto” that can nevertheless offer back and arm rests. The result is a broad product range that makes use of some existing elements in our catalogue. For example, the seat and the back rest are from the basic shape of “la superfine”. Like “il posto”, the lower construction is made of stainless steel and optional back and arm rests can be added. For ergonomic reasons the seat depth of “il posto XL” is substantially longer than that of “il posto”. The vertical section of the seat appears somewhat shorter but does not affect the seat's flowing form.

Plate Material
A duromer high-pressure laminate based on 65% natural fibre plates, pressed with special resin and under high pressure and temperatures. For many years this material has proven purposeful as a high-quality building material, e.g. in curtain walls.

Steel Frame
The load bearing structure is made of a framework of stainless steel. They are available in three models: with and without back rests as well as with back and arm rests. By means of the frame elements, an insulating air cushion is incorporated that provides a comfortable sitting temperature. Stainless steel piping is carefully attached to the reverse side of the laminate with a high-strength polyurethane adhesive to enable the laminate to be screwed to the frame.

Ground Fixation
The framework is mounted on the surface with four screws and four raw plugs. Six or ten side screws are used to secure the laminate to the framework and these can only be taken apart with a specific tool, thus protecting against vandalism.
