The Gira home station is a hands-free system for flush-mounted installation. It consists of a base unit and expansion functions such as the TFT colour display. With state-of-the-art microprocessor technology, the units achieve a speech quality comparable to that of mobile phones or hands-free units used in cars.
Five selectable ringing tone melodies are integrated into the station as well as two optional functions: "Switching light on", activated with an additional switching actuator, and the automatic door opener often used in doctors' practices in order to open the door automatically after ringing.
