Treasures make our lives special and unique. The Atelier Heimatstuden is dedicated to redefining uniqueness through its architecture and design projects. The full spectrum of Georg Bechter’s work offers a colourful portfolio ranging from installations and furniture design to architecture. Founded in Stuttgart in 2007, the Heimatstunden office has returned to its roots in the Austrian Alps in 2010. To inspire his creative work, Georg Bechter enjoys not only the magnificent views of the Bregenz forrest landscape, but also the atmosphere of his office, located in a traditional farmhouse which he renovated himself.
Georg Bechter has been researching lighting andlighting design for the past three years. Verve’s special design is the result of many trials, experiments and variations of geometry, as well as input from interior designers. The ultimate aim is to treat the light source as secondary to the light itself, meaning that Verve is pure light which illuminates the wall without leaving traces of frames or a change in material on the wall. The most fascinating effect is that one cannot see where the light is coming from. Spotlights projeted onto the wall dissolve into nothingness and lose themselves in the depth of the wall.
