Vorwerk Carpets “projection”:
A retro-perspective of diversity
On the occasion of the Domotex 2011 Vorwerk Carpets is presenting the new edition of the business contract collection “projection” for the first time. The collection clusters the brand’s deeply rooted cultural awareness and, with over 400 designs, rewrites the term ‘floor’ as a designed space. Each design immortalises a special moment in contemporary flooring architecture. Carpet creations by a total of 23 eminent artists, among them Roy Lichtenstein, David Hockney, Jeff Koons and Robert Wilson, enrich the spectrum of this new edition just as much as the most recent designs by designers Ulf Moritz and Hadi Teherani. “projection” merges what were previously stand-alone collections, uniting the “Dialog Art Collection”, the preceding “projection”, the design line “Ulf Moritz” and the “FreeSCALE” carpet-tile collection, and completely new creations as well. Four thematically outlined segments – “Styling”, “Working”, “Creating” and “Comfort” – provide orientation within the collection. The new items include carpets such as “Maleo”, “Scano”, “Scano design”, “Levia” and “Levia design”. Yet popular classics, for instance “Forma”, “Varia”, “Tremo”, “Nandou”, “Arena” or “Frisea” are now a part of “projection”, too.
