Lesslamp is considered more a happening than a light: The user must release the light drilling or breaking the ceramic piece with a pickaxe. This way you can determine the appearance and position of the hole depending on the amount of light that is needed and where you want to address it. Lesslamp is not just one luminaire alone, it is endless. Playing with the light itself it is what gives you truly spectacular results.

The luminaire Lesslamp has been selected to be included in the permanent collection of MoMA (Museum of Modern Art, New York). Currently, it can be found on display in the MoMA design galleries in an exhibition of collection works titled »Rough Cut: Design Takes a Sharp Edge«, curated by Paola Antonelli, Senior Curator of the Department of Architecture & Design. The model will be on display for a year.

A white or black ceramic diffuser composes the light. Thanks to a pickaxe it can be customized and personalized. The axe is for unlimited use and is sold separately.
