Profile

Henning Larsen Architects is an international architecture company with strong Scandinavian roots. Our goal is to create vibrant, sustainable projects that reach beyond themselves and become of durable value to the user and to the society and culture that they are built into.

Since the company was founded in 1959, we have acquired a comprehensive knowledge of the many aspects of building - from sketch proposals to detailed design, expert supervision and construction management. Our competences are continuously developed through our close collaboration with global partners, experts and specialists.

We shape, challenge and change the physical surroundings – from masterplans, urban spaces and buildings to interior design, components and strategic design – with the overall objective of providing the user with a strong, visionary and thoroughly framed design adapted to the specific context.

Henning Larsen Architects attaches great importance to designing environmentally friendly and integrated, energy-efficient solutions. Our projects are characterised by a high degree of social responsibility – not only in relation to materials and production but also as regards good, social spaces encouraging intimacy and community.

Our ideas are developed in close collaboration with the client, users and partners in order to achieve long-lasting buildings and a beneficial life-cycle economy. This value-based approach is the key to our designs of numerous building projects around the world - from complex masterplans to successful architectural landmarks.

Architecture is the focal point of Henning Larsen Architects. The projects are created on the basis of high ambition, curiosity and a wish to contribute positively to a world in change.

The architecture of Henning Larsen Architects is based on human scale paying strong attention to sustainability and social responsibility.

We are inspired by our colleagues, partners, the site and location, society, science, nature and the company’s own history. This is the background to Henning Larsen Architects being able to hold a leading position in the field of architecture while at the same time maintaining its openness and curiosity in the collaboration with others.

Our designs emanate from a variety of different themes. The themes have manifested themselves in various ways from project to project.
