Globalization creates homogenization, absorption and appropriation of the culture by the market to create trends and new products. This homogeneous cause a lost of the diversity and multicultural aspect of the design that can exist in every geographical region. That's the problem that I try to resolve during my design process. Design without the limits of the trends and market but whit a conscious develop of the local references, material and technologies availables.
As a Caribbean designer working in Europe I use references of my local experience and converted them thought an aesthetic language in objects that can be applied and transform any space.
