Light goes upstairs, climbs the walls and then clambers up the door jambs, up the more or less important bearing columns and then descends and extends and slides back down, plunges down, down, down and still further down, but then joyfully climbs back up the stairs where it opens the curtains and the windows, floods the rooms, makes the day sparkle, gleams in the night and rises higher and higher and higher up the stairs.
