Rheda-Wiedenbrück – How can the energy costs for luminaires used in outside lighting be efficiently reduced? How can luminaires be brought in line with state-of-the-art technology in the long term without having to replace them with new products? WavePipe©-technology by IP44.de is a new, thermally optimised aluminium profile that has been developed as a pioneering definition for the efficient use of energy.
Right on time for the 10th birthday of classic luminaires scap and quantum, in the WavePipe© version they can now be fitted with different types of lamp for use in varying light design tasks. The new development marks major progress compared to conventional up- and downlights made of stainless steel: nearly all of these are fitted with high-voltage halogen systems, resulting in high costs for lamps, electricity and maintenance. Equipped with the flexible WavePipe© system module, IP44.de's successful scap and quantum luminaires are now even available in low-voltage technology, making them 60% more efficient than the conventional high-voltage version, with greater luminous efficacy. The aluminium profile acts as a self-contained system inside the luminaires without generating any thermal risks. The service life of the luminaire is doubled to up to 4,000 hours. As an option, IvyLight©-technology can also be used with WavePipe©, offering 75% energy savings and lasting 20 times longer than when fitted with common high-voltage lamps. This new development makes IP44.de the only provider to develop stainless steel luminaires with a highly aesthetic material appearance for outside use on a similarly mature technical standard. WavePipe© permits the use of various lamps, first-and-foremost low-voltage technology, and thus makes the popular up- and downlights of the IP44.de product family fit for the future.
