Robin de MDF Italia

The table is a symbol of conviviality, and a space for meeting and spending time with other people. For MDF Italia it is, and has always been, a subject of great interest, meditation and discussion with the designers that have always been asked by the company to create iconic products.

Robin, the new typology of tables made by the design studio Bruno Fattorini& Partner, is the answer to this need.

Great essentialism was the choice of the designers Bruno Fattorini and Robin Rizzini in presenting this archetype of the table: a simple and rigorous object, with refined details and various options in the finishes and sizes available.

Robin enhances the MDF Italia collection with three important remarkable visual ele- ments: curve, colour and cement. During the design phase, a decision was made to soften the silhouette by replacing sharp corners with rounded corners and round legs.
In addition to the most classic and elegant of colours, white, the matt lacquered version of the table is presented in a carefully selected and unusual range of colours, which enrich MDF Italia’s traditional product line.

The version in cement is another significant variation that characterizes Robin. The cement is applied manually on the table top and legs with the same procedure used to finish architectural surfaces. This finish gives the table a unique and exclusive look of highly skilled craftsmanship.

Tech specs
A table with a monochromatic finish, rounded corners and round legs.

Available in rectangular and square versions in 16 sizes and three types of finish:
- white acrylic resin
- cement and anthracite cement
- matt lacquer in various colours.

Tabletops
The 30 mm thick tabletop consists of a composite panel with inner steel frame and a resin honeycomb core coated on both sides with aluminium foil. The panel is clad with a 3 mm thick sheet of white acrylic resin, or high pressure laminate coated with cement, or lacquered in various colours.

Legs
The legs are made of steel tube of diameter 30 mm with structural tie, painted with white epoxy powder in the resin version, various colours of epoxy powder in the lacquer ver- sion, with a coating of cement in the cement version.
