Designing a restful piece of furniture, with a classical spirit, in a modern, comfortable and ergonomic shape, was the challenge that AW invited me to take on. So, resorting to warm, natural materials such as wood was an essential element. Wood is an extremely versatile material; you simply have to approach it from a different viewpoint, or at least with a minimum of colour enrichment, to find it both vibrant and contemporary. Immediately, a production process takes place, which winds up modernising proportions to create a collection with a specific destiny. In the case of the Ritmika collection, the use of colour offers enormous freedom for adapting to surrounding space.
