This is the superimposition of a familiar graphic design from the 1960s and 70s - used in industrial applications like aluminium sheeting, rubber linoleum and ceiling panels - with a colorful Oriental rug.

Two different cultures far apart in time and space illustrate how a traditional ethnic repertory can be integrated into contemporary visual language. Sophisticated manufacturing intensifies the effect.
